ok so a little confusion rule number 5.7.1. states. The transfer case system for that make of vehicle shall be retained except that it may be modified.
Does this mean that you can use any transfer of the same Make of car ie. a land cruiser case in a hilux as the "make" is both toyota? or a suzuki sierra case in a suzuki jimny to allow for reduction gearing.??

It means it must be the original but you may modify the gearing inside it

surely if that was the case, the rules would state "model" rather than "make"
