In South East Queensland we breed some hard core 4wders and it only seemed logical that they would get together and create a 4wd club dedicated to supporting the sport of 4wding in South East Queensland and Northern NSW and then set out to challenge themselves and their vehicles against some of the toughest tracks and 4wd parks have to offer. With this in mind an enthusiastic group of drivers and families got together in 2004 and formed the "Tough Tracks 4x4 Club" and became incorporated into the Queensland 4wd Association.

With members from all over the QLD & NSW driving a diverse range of vehicles friendly rivalry between brands add to the interest on club outings. With members as varied as their vehicles and covering all age groups with families playing a big part in keeping Tough Tracks 4X4 Club a fun and friendly group of people. Members activities include weekends away to 4wd parks, touring, organized recreational day trips, camping and generally getting together with like minded people and having a good time. We also participate in other clubs events as well as having a dedicated team of volunteers who run the annual 3 rounds of the Tough Tracks 4X4 Challenge

2005 was a big year for the club as it started up the highly successful annual Tough Track 4X4 Challenge Series which is held at various 4wd parks around South East Queensland and Northern NSW.

This three round series of competitions has four classes of entrants from first timers to experienced competitors. This means that anyone with any level of 4wding ability can enjoy the challenge of competing in a fun and friendly event where club members are always willing to give advice or lend a hand if needed.

Best of all if you want to have a go and try your hand at competing in an event you don't need to join the club and we will have a class that will fit your vehicle.

Spectators and families are well catered for with all the action happening right in front of them and where the terrain permits all 4 classes will be held within close proximity to each other so you can walk around and see all the action that the Tough Tracks 4x4 Challenge has to offer. The Tough Tracks 4x4 Challenge is a short course event where vehicles are challenged against what the terrain has to offer with plenty of action right in front of you it has been described as a comp where “Vehicle Versus Mother Nature". Even though this is not a speed event the action is non stop and as all of the track can be seen at any good vantage point along the track you will never  miss out on what Tough Tracks 4x4 Challenge has to offer.

With some of our competition vehicles becoming over modified for their class and there being limited events to cater for highly modified buggies and truggies Tough Tracks 4x4 Club members got together and started a new "Outlaw" class for 2011 which has expanded our level of entrants from road registered every day 4wd's through to highly modified buggies and truggies which means that there will be a class to cater for you and your vehicle if you wish to compete.

With the emphasis on having fun and enjoying yourself with people that have the same interests we encourage all new comers to the sport of 4wding.
